STF Job Action Starting Monday June 6th

Dear Griffon families,

The Saskatchewan Teachers Federation announced sanctions for Monday, June 10 indefinitely of work to rule. This means that there will be no extra-curricular activities or noon hour supervision.

The Regina Catholic School Division has prepared contingency plans that require moving to an adjusted school day:

Adjusted School Day - École St. Angela Merici - Monday, June 10 until further notice

8:55 a.m. Warning Tone
9:00 a.m. – 10:04 a.m. Classroom Period
10:04 a.m. – 10:14 a.m. Recess
10:14 a.m. – 11:18 a.m. Classroom Period
11:18 a.m. - 11:28 a.m. Recess
11:28 a.m. - 12:32 p.m. Classroom Period
12:32 p.m. - 12:42 p.m. Recess
12:42 p.m. - 1:46 p.m. Classroom Period
1:46 p.m. Student Dismissal
2:45 p.m. - 3:25 p.m. Instructional Support

Important details to note:

• Please send snacks with your child. Students will be provided with time during the adjusted day to address their nutritional needs.  Teachers will allow students to eat snacks and lunches during class.
• Student who can return are invited back to school in the afternoon after the STF members' lunch break. Teachers will provide instructional support to students during this time.
• Please refer to the communication about busing sent by Transportation.
• YMCA B&A Program will communicate their hours of service.
• Track will most likely not take place, but we are all prepared for it to take place if sanctions are lifted on Monday.
